How to get IP address in Linux in just two steps

The easiest way to find an IP address in linux is by typing command for getting ip address in linux terminal.

Step 1      

Open Linux terminal – You can find this in your list of applications or by searching for “terminal”.

Step 2

Enter the commands given below

ip addr show – this command will give ip address of all the network adapters connected to your System and the other information related to that network adapter. Each device’s IP address is listed after “inet”.

ip addr show eth0 – this command will provide the ip address of the first recognized ethernet adapter.
